• Long Brush (sold at the Fat Finch
• Old toothbrush
• Outdoor hose
• Rubber gloves
• Mild liquid soap or detergent (unscented is best)
• White distilled vinegar
• Bleach
• Hydrogen peroxide

2. Place
your feeder in the tub and fill it with warm water and a squirt of soap. Wearing gloves, scrub all parts of the feeder and rinse thoroughly.

3. Empty
tub and fill again with clean water and 4 cups of vinegar. If you have very stubborn areas of mold on the feeder, soak it separately in water with a small amount of bleach for an hour. (Never combine bleach and vinegar!)

5. Rinse
thoroughly at least 3-4 times. Be sure to wash your hands during and after this chore.

6. Fill
with fresh seed or nectar after your feeders are fully cleaned and dried. Throw away any old or moldy seed or nectar. Birds don't mind if your seed has some bugs in it, but they dislike old, stale seed.
